Penile Lengthening – Penis Enlargement – Cosmetic Surgery
Penis lengthening is one way penile enlargement may be achieved. Believe it or not, this male enhancement procedure is a fairly popular form of cosmetic surgery today.
The first penile lengthening procedure was administered in the early 1980s. Originally, it was used as a reconstructive procedure on men whose genitalia was damaged as children. Nowadays, the surgery has become so successful that it is offered to adults who want a longer penis.
The procedure starts with about half of the penis aligned inside the body, where it is connected to the pubic bone by the suspensory ligament. As soon as the suspensory ligament is released, the ensuing ligament alteration causes the penis to drop, or extend further outside the body, adding to its outside length. A small incision is made in the pubic area. However, it will be covered by pubic hair so it will not be noticeable. There is no incision made in the penis itself.
No cosmetic surgeon in Houston can guarantee the exact amount your penis will increase in length. That said, everyone receives some improvement, although the amount gained varies depending on the patient. In general, expect to get an extra one to two inches in length in the flaccid state, while not as much during erection. Considering the average length of the normal flaccid penis is 2-4 inches, this is a big improvement.
To realize the best possible results after the procedure, follow the post-op exercises and instructions issued by Dr. Capriotti. Avoid active sports and sexual activity for a month after surgery. Also, since the surgery is an outpatient procedure, you should feel only minor discomfort.
